JAMMU, May 17: The Home Department of the State Government today relieved IGP Armed Kashmir Deepak Kumar for joining the Central deputation.
Kumar, an IPS officer of 1993 batch of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, has been posted as Chief Vigilance Officer in Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC), Ranchi, under the Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India, New Delhi.
Kumar has earlier held several important postings in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, as per another Home Department order, Abdul Qayoom, Deputy Commandant, JKAP 11th battalion, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commandant IRP 20th battalion in place of Amarjeet Singh, who has been posted as SP Enforcement Srinagar.
Shahzada Parveen, SP Enforcement Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commandant, JKAP 11th battalion vice Abdul Qayoom.
