JAMMU, Mar 4: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Armed, Mukesh Singh today chaired officers meeting to discuss the arrangements for All India Police Martyrs Memorial Hockey Tournament, being held in Jammu from March 10, 2015.
The meeting was held at Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ) here and was attended by various police officers.
Addressing the meeting, IGP said that the tournament is being hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Police, in which 12 teams representing different Central Police Forces and States would be participating. He said that the championship would be played at KK Hakku Stadium under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board.
The meeting discussed the arrangements made by various committees constituted to ensure smooth conduct of the tournament.
The meeting also discussed opening and closing ceremony arrangements of the championship and it was disclosed that all required arrangements have been made in advance to make the event a grand success. Security of the venue was  also discussed.
Mr Mukesh  asked the participants to take personal efforts and ensure that no loophole is left in the arrangements. He also asked for coordination with each other and make fruitful arrangements.
The meeting was attended by SSP Sham Sunder, Ashok Kumar, Javed Iqbal Mattoo, Mubashir Latifi and Atul Sharma, Commandants of Armed, IRP Battalions including Rashmi Wazir, Anita Sharma and Tabasum, Medical Superintendent Dr. Kirti Sharma, Sports Medicine Specialist Dr Sanjogita Soodan  and other police officers.
