JAMMU, Dec 10: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Anand Jain flagged off Special Olympics Athletes who are participating in North Zone Sports event of Special Olympics Bharat at Chandigarh from December 11 to 13 at DPL Jammu, today.
The competition is being organised by Special Olympics Bharat Himachal Pradesh Chapter and Special Olympics Chandigarh Chapter. Chief Guest of the event was IGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain who also interacted with the athletes and encouraged them and advised them to participate in the events with enthusiasm and full vigour.
The specially-abled athletes will represent J&K-UT in three days event at Chandigarh and they will participate in different sports, dance, music, medication and health check-up. DIG Jammu JKS Range, Shakti Pathak and SSP Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar were also present as dignitaries during the occasion.
