IGP Jammu honours J&K Handicapped Cricket team

JAMMU, May 15:  Dr SD Singh, Inspector General of Police, Jammu honoured the J&K Physically Handicapped Cricket team in presence of Rajesh Sharma SSP, Atul Sharma Additional SP PCR Jammu, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer SHRC Jammu and Sham Singh Manager J&K PHC team at Zonal Police Headquarters, here today. The J&K Physically Handicapped Cricket team which included Syed Shah Aziz (Captain), Amir Rather, Nadeem Bhat, Vaishu Dev, Jagmohan Singh, Rahul Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Vivek, Deepak and Firdous Ahmad after winning Tri-Series at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh today reached Jammu amid warm welcome.
Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player and In-charge of the Jammu and Kashmir Physically Handicapped Cricket team apprised the IGP Jammu that J&K Handicapped Cricket team was formed one and half year back with the support of J&K Police and this J&K team had participated in series of National tournaments and excelled in most of them.
He said Jagmohan from Reasi had already represented the Country and others are in the cue.
He further said that the Secretary of the Physically Handicapped Cricket Association of India had informed that 4 players from J&K have been selected for the National Camp which will be held in the month of August, 2018.
