Samba, Apr 7: In order to strengthen Police Public relations as well as to channelize the energy of youth towards right direction, District Police Samba has established Gym cum Fitness Centre in Panchayat Ghar Building at Thalora Mandi, Samba by spending an amount of Rs 3 lakh and also established Library cum Recreation Centre in the Building of Community Hall, Ghagwal by spending an amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh under Civc Action Plan (CAP).
Danish Rana, Inspector General of Police, Jammu, today inaugurated both the establishments and handed over to general public for use.
The function was attended by Shakeel Ahmed Beig, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu-Kathua Range, Joginder Singh, SSP Samba, Faisal Qureshi, Additional SP Samba, V P Singh, Deputy SP HQ, Samba, S S Sambyal, SDPO Vijaypur, Kulbir Honda, SDPO Bari Brahmna, Suresh Kumar, DySP DAR Samba and Neeraj Kumar, DySP Operations.
Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General of Police stated that the motive behind organizing such events is to channelize the energy of the youth towards right direction and sharpen their talent as well as to strengthen police public relations for better policing.
The locals of the area lauded the steps taken by J&K Police and District Police Samba.
They thanked Police for establishing these institutions and also requested such more institutions for the other areas in future.
