IGP reviews crime scenario of Jammu-Kathua-Samba range

IGP Rajesh Kumar reviewing crime scenario in a meeting on Monday.

JAMMU, Sept 23: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar today impressed upon the officers to take stringent measures against visible traffic violations.
This was stated by IGP while reviewing the crime scenario of Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range with DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig,  SSP Samba Isrrar Khan, SSP Kathua Mohan Lal,  SSP Jammu Atul Goel  besides all territorial SSPs of Jammu district in Zonal Police Headquarters here today.
Kumar reviewed the crime, anti militancy operation, general security scenario and discussed necessary steps to be taken to control the crime rate.
A thread bare discussion was held regarding disposal of pending crime cases especially cases of heinous crime.
Kumar called for synergizing Police-Public partnership groups and directed the officers to conduct regular meetings with the general public in their area of responsibility and promptly respond to the public complaints and be friendly with the people.
He directed the officers to make elaborate arrangements and take necessary steps for maintaining law and order. No body should be allowed to vitiate the atmosphere at any cost, he added.
The participating police officers briefed IGP about the available inputs and their assessment over the security and law and order situation in their districts respectively.
