IGP reviews security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU, July 18: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, MK Sinha visited Udhampur and Ramban districts today and reviewed security arrangements of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
He visited the langar sites and interacted with the sevadars and yatries. He checked the night deployment of Udhampur district, visited the stretch of NHW from Nashri to Digdol (landslide point) and checked the preparedness from security point of view as well as from dealing with any adverse situation created out of landslides or inclement weather.
He also held a crime meeting with the officers and officials of district Ramban at DPO Ramban in which, apart from SSP Ramban Anita Sharma and Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar, SDPOs, SHOs and incharge Police Posts were present.
IGP stressed upon special reported cases, disposal of junk vehicles, surveillance of OGWs and speedy disposal of missing persons and absconders.
