JAMMU, Mar 23: Iknoor Kour and Anant Rohmetra emerged winners Under 12 cadets category during the Table Tennis Tournament organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) by District Police Jammu at Stag Table Tennis Academy, Nanak Nagar, which concluded today.
In under 12 girls category (Cadets), Iknoor Kour defeated Archita Kesar, while in boys category, Anant Rohmetra emerged winner by smashing Akhlesh Khajuria.
In Sub Junior boys category, Anant Rohmetra defeated Manya Mansotra and in girls category, Megna Jain outclassed Ashmit Kour.
In Junior boys, Manan Deep Singh crushed Arunav whereas, in girls category, Shreya Mahajan defeated Megna Jain.
In Women singles category, Shzar defeated Shreya, whereas in men singles, Sandeep Khandotra defeated Vasu Dewan.
In Men doubles, Manminder Singh and Naresh Gupta defeated IP Singh and Satbir Singh.
In Veteran, IP Singh emerged winner by defeating Mahesh Sharma.
On the valedictory function, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand was the chief guest who presented trophies and certificates among the winners, besides consolation prizes were also distributed. Manjeet Singh, Manish Suri, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Mahesh Sharma, JR Kalsi, Qushyant Kesar, KK Gandhi, renowned painter, Sharvan, Manish Mahendru, Rohit Pandit, Sultan Mirza, Ashwani Khullar, Vivek and hundreds of sports lovers of National and International repute were also present. Vishal Sharma Officiating DySP DAR, DPL Jammu Vishal Manhas, Harjeet Singh, SDPO City South and SHO police station Gandhi Nagar Paramjeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
Deliberating on the aim and the objective of Civic Action Programme undertaken by J&K Police, Randheer Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu said that the programme comprises several schemes for the promotion of youths in sports and cultural arena.
The tournament was officiated by Ramesh Mangotra, Sandeep Khandotra and Meenu Ragesh.
