JAMMU, Dec 22: Iknoor Kour defeated Ragini Gupta in junior girls finals by 3-0 sets and lifted the title while Hanumat Sharma and Saksham Verma sailed into finals of junior boys finals by defeating Akhilesh Khajuria by 3-1 sets and Maanay Mansotra by 3-2 sets respectively in the ongoing 43rd Stag J&K and Inter-district Table Tennis Championship, being held at Indoor Complex of MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in the junior girls semi finals Iknoor Kour defeated Vidhushi by 3-0 sets while Ragini got better of Vanshika by 3-0 sets.
In senior category, Akhilesh Khajuria was defeated by Madhav Sharma of Udhampur.
In youth boys quarter finals, Ritvik Gupta beat Anooj Dutta by 3-0 sets, Maanay trounced Hanumat by 3-1 sets, and Manandeep defeated Faisal Mir by 3-0 sets, whereas in junior girls finals, Iknoor got better of Ragini by 3-0 sets.
In men singles first round, Ritvik beat Sahil by 3-0 set, Faisal trounced Satyam by 3-0 sets, Akhilesh beat Abhay by 3-0 sets, Maanay trounced Kanav by 3-0 sets, Nitin defeated Sunny Sharma by 3-0 sets, Anooj Dutta got better of Prikshit by 3-1 sets, Rajan defeated Mannat Arora by 3-0 sets and Manandeep beat Harshit by 3-1 sets.
In veteran men semi-finals, Amit beat Purshotam Khajuria by 3-0 sets and Anil Abrol trounced Mahesh Khajuria by 3-2 sets.
The matches were officiated by Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS Table Tennis coach), Sandeep Khadotra (NIS Table Tennis coach), Vasu Dewan, Meenu Rajesh and Asad Sharma.
