JAMMU, Oct 21: Trouncing her counterpart Ragini convincingly by 3-1 in the summit clash, ace peddler Iknoor Kour retained her Sub Junior girls title in the ongoing 42nd Stag J&K Table Tennis Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association at TT Hall, Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Akhilesh wins Jr title by beating Maanay by 3-0 in the summit clash.
Meanwhile, Sarthak claimed his first State championships sub jr title by beating Vishav Charak in a close contest that went up to the last game with both the players displayed extraordinary skills.
Dr Prabjot won the veteran men’s title defeating Mahesh Khajuria by 3-1.
Results: Sub Jr Girls Finals: Iknoor dfrubbed Ragini 3-1: Sub jr Boys Finals;
Sarthak defeated Vishav by 3-2: Junior Boys Quarterfinals; Maanay trounced Madhav by 3-0, Saksham beat Vishav by 3-0.
Earlier, Akhilesh defeated Sarthak by 3-1 and Hanumat outclassed Rohan by 3-1.
Men’s Singles First Round; Vasu Dewan beat Suhail by 3-0, Amber prevailed over Nitin 3-0, Adhiraj got the better of Anil Dutta 3-2.
Veteran Men’s Finals: Dr Prabhjot thrashed Mahesh Khajuria 3-1.
The matches were officiated by Vasu Dewan, Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS Table tennis coach), Sandeep Khadotra (NIS Table Tennis coach), Meenu Rajesh and Asad Sharma.
