JAMMU, July 10: Auqaf Jammu during anti-encroachment drive had stopped the work of illegal construction of sewerage pipeline through Waqaf graveyard situated at Gujjar Nagar.
The work was being carried out illegally without obtaining prior permission from any of the competent authority.
Subsequently, an official complaint for lodging FIR against the miscreants has been filed at Police Post Gujjar Nagar for tracing down the culprits and booking them under the relevant sections of law.
Pertinent to mention here that this nefarious attempt for desecration of Wakaf graveyard land has triggered resentment amongst the members of the beneficiary community and some deputations had also approached Advisor Farooq Khan in this regard.
Auqaf Jammu has mobilized its anti-encroachment drive teams for protection and safeguard of the Wakaf properties.
