IMFA shines in Clay Modelling, Installation Competitions

JAMMU, Sept 29: Clay Modelling, Elocution (Extempore) and Installation Competitions were organized today by Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2014-15 at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium and Ground Floor Hall.
In Clay Modelling Competition, Ashima and Divya Bandral both from the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA), Jammu, clinched the 1st and 2nd prizes respectively where as Tejswani Khajuria from Government College for Women (GCW), Parade, Jammu bagged 3rd prize. The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Diksha Andotra from GCW, Kathua and Nitin Dubey form Government MAM College, Jammu.
Ganesh Kumar Sharma, Brij Pal Anand and Vikas Dogra, were the adjudicators for this event. The topics for the Clay Modelling were “In the Studio”, “In the Pond” and “Any Festival”.
In Elocution (Extempore) Competition, Zain-Ul-Abdeen Bandey from the Department of Political Science, University of Jammu, was adjudged as 1st whereas Sonia Sharma from GGM Science College, Jammu and Sourav Kumar from GDC Kathua bagged the 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively.
Priyanka Pandita from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammu and Suman Kumari from Department of Geography, University of Jammu, were awarded with Certificates of Merit.
Dr Chanchal Sharma and Jagdish Chander were the adjudicators for Elocution Competition. Dr Vishav Raksha was the Teacher Incharge for Elocution Competition and conducted the event effectively.
The programme was compeered by Radhika Mahajan whereas Abisha Khajuria, acted as time keeper. The stage management was done by Kulbhushan Thakur and Tania Sohal.
In Installation Competition, the team consisting of Kaneesh Panotra and Jaswinder Singh, from IMFA, Jammu, bagged the 1st prize whereas team of Government MAM College comprising Nitin Dubey and Shayaan Bhat and team of JK College of Education comprising Shikha Singh and Umang Sharma bagged the 2nd and 3rd, prizes, respectively.  The Certificates of Merit were awarded to the team from Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu and PG Integrated team, University of Jammu.
Jagpal Singh Bandral, Brij Pal Anand and Vikas Dogra, were the adjudicators for the Installation Competition. Dr Deepika Slathia was the teacher Incharge for Installation competition who apprised the participants about Rules and Regulations.
