Implement 7th Pay panel report, hike medical allowance: MULBPA

JAMMU, Oct 31: Municipal & Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) from Jammu province has urged upon the State Government to implement 7th Pay Commission report and enhance medical allowance of the employees and pensioners without any more delay.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship  of  Y S Jamwal, the members discussed the burning issues of the State pensioners. The speakers expressed strong resentment over the attitude of neglect on the part of State Government towards the pending issues of the pensioners.
The members stressed upon the need to implement 7th  Pay Commission report in toto at par with Central Government pensioners at the earliest with release of DA installments, enhancement of medical allowance, free insurance cover to Civic Body pensioners also, settlement of final GP Fund withdrawal cases of the deceased pensioners of the Local Bodies Jammu by Chief Accounts Officer, GPF Jammu, to process the appointment cases under SRO 43  by Director Urban Local Bodies  Jammu Province of the deceased employees of Urban Local Bodies  Jammu province  and issuance of senior citizens Identity cards to all the pensioners of Jammu province as was done by the State Government for Kashmir province pensioners.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included,  BS Jamwal, JR Sharma, KG Khajuria, Attar Singh, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pritam Singh Reen, BD Verma, Tarsem Lal Gupta, JL Sharma, ML Gupta, Indu Bhushan, Gurdev Singh  and Bahu-ud-din Choudhary.
