Impressive Nagar Kirtans taken out in Qila Darhal

NOWSHERA, Jan 10:  In connection with the 351st Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Sikh community today took out an impressive Nagar Kirtans in Qila Darhal  and Rajova area in Nowshera sub division of district Rajouri.
The people from Sikh community in large number assembled  at Rajova in  block Qila Darhal (Nowshera)  and started  Shobha Yatra towards  Gurudwara Singh Sabha Lam. A large number of devotees chanting religious slogans  accompanied the Nagar Kirtan. They had mounted Guru Granth Sahib  on a decorated vehicle and Ragi Jathe,  Panj  Piyare were the part of religious procession.
Several  Sikh  youth were witnessed performing  martial art (Gatka),   displayed danger stunts which remained main source of attraction especially among youth. According to reports, first time near Pakistan border Sikh Sanget has taken out Nagar Kirtan with large gathering despite frequent shelling.
A large number of Sikh community people from adjoining villages of Thanda Pani, Marchola, Tanda, Benigala, Lam, Qila Darhal, Kanara, Nonial, Rajpur Bhatta, Dhalia, Hanjana and Naria came  to Gurudwara Singh Sabha Rajova  and offered special prayers.
A highly decorated chariot was created by using open vehicles where the holy Guru Granth Sahib was placed on this vehicles. It was fitted with loud speakers and several religious personalities of the Sikh community were leading the grand Shobha Yatra and reciting Gurbani Shabad Kirtan. On the front  Panj Payare attired in a traditional dress of warriors carrying swords in hands were leading the grand Nagar Kirtan.
Senior citizens  and members of Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Lam organized stalls of eatables  and drinks at BR Ambedkar Chowk in Lam. Isher Singh said Guru Gobind Singh ji created Khalsa Panth on April 13, 1699 and kept a name Singh & Kour and he also said in battle of Chamkour on 40  Sikh warriors  fought with 10 lakh Mughal force and Guru’s force won  and broke the back bone of Mughal empire.
DGPC Rajouri members led by Bhupinder Singh Tiger  fully cooperated and participated in the programme.
