JAMMU, Feb 27: A Business Tech Fest “Spardha” was organized by the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) here today.
Prof Meenakshi Kilam, Director, Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu was the chief guest, while Annil Suri-President Bari Brahmana Industrial Association & Prof.M.R.Rana-Ex Prof. of The Business School, University of Jammu were the guests of honour.
Prof. Sameer Gupta Business School University of Jammu, Brig. KS Chauhan, General Manager Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Ajay Kapoor, Managing Director, Sharekhan, Janvi Sudan, Technical Counsellor, HCL, CDC, Er. Rahul Pandit, Director, ActIT, Parveen Raina, Director, V-Node, IT Solutions, were the Special Guests in the meet.
The function began with the lightening of the lamp by Chief Guest Prof. Meenakshi Kilm in presence of Er.Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman-JGEI, Th. Shivdev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, Dr. Seema Narain, Director-YCET, Prof. J.R. Dhotra, Director-IMS & other dignitaries present there.
Er.Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman-JGEI, welcomed all the distinguished dignitaries & highlighted the achievements of IMS.
The chief guests Meenakshi Kilam and Prof. Desh Bandhu Gupta in their interactive addresses appreciated the talent of the students & also congratulated the College Management & other staff members for organizing this significant fest. Mr. Annil Suri also on the occasion gave valuable inputs.
The MBA/BCA students of Management Colleges, Business Schools & Computer Sciences, which actively participated, were the Business School-University of Jammu, Central University-HRM & OB, Jammu, MBS, MIET, GCW Parade, SPMR College of Commerce, Trikuta College, New Modern College & IMS. There were 5 events in Business Management & 6 in Information Technology for which Competitions were held.
The students of IMS presented colorful thematic & spectacular stage performances, which attracted huge appreciation & applaud from jubilant audiences.

In Business Quiz, IMS Scored 1st position, while the Central University Jammu got 2nd position. In Ad Mad show IMS got 1st position while Central University got 2nd position. In Perception Games, IMS was declared winners and 2nd position was secured by MBS. In Extempore, IMS won 1st position while TBS, University of Jammu got 2nd position & in Treasure Hunt, Central University Jammu Scored 1st position while IMS got 2nd position.
In IT Quiz Trikuta College scored 1st position while GCW, Parade got 2nd position. In Web Designing Trikuta College scored 1st position. In Project Demo, IMS scored 1st position while GCW Parade bagged 2nd position. In Online Gaming IMS scored both 1st as well as 2nd position. In Debate on IT New Modern College scored 1st position while IMS got 2nd position & in IT Shop IMS claimed 1st position.
IMS was adjudged the overall outstanding winner team of the event Management & IT Fest Spardha 2015.
Later, the fest was concluded with the valedictory function, attended by Prof. Desh Bandhu Gupta-Director, Colleges Development Council -University of Jammu, who presented prizes & certificates to the winners & the participating teams, with vote of thanks by I.S. Walia, Training & Placement Officer, IMS.
