DODA, June 14: In a stride towards boosting and promoting rural sports activities in the District, Chenab Sports Council Doda today organized 2 day All India 3rd Wrestling Championship in Sports Stadium Doda.
District Development Commissioner Doda, Mubarak Singh, inaugurated the championship.
Senior Superintendent of Police Doda M.S Chouhan, CO 10 RR Doda Sunil Mishra, Prominent Citizens, members of Chenab Sports Council besides a huge gathering of sports loving people witnessed the event.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC lauded the efforts of the council in nurturing the talent of youth and streamlining youth energy in right direction.
The Championship witnessed participation of renowned wrestlers from various parts of the country and people witnessing the event remained glued to their respective seats. Apart from wrestling some spectacular stunts were performed by the wrestlers which were highly appreciated by the audiences.
Earlier, DDC interacted with all the participating wrestlers and wished a successful conclusion of the event.
