New Delhi, Apr 16: Over 1,100 judokas will be vying for honours when the national judo championship of police forces begins at the Indira Gandhi Indoor stadium here tomorrow.
The five-day tournament, which will end on April 21, is being hosted by border guarding force Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and 34 central and state police forces.
SSB Director General R K Mishra today unveiled the logo and mascot of the games– the All India Police Judo Cluster Championship (AIPJCC).
The four games that will be held as part of the tournament, include Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo and Gymnastics.
“A total of 1,114 players, that include 800 male and 314 female participants, are taking part in the event. This is the second edition of these police games,” a senior official said. (PTI)
