India rejects Pak actions of keeping Kashmir on the boil: Min

NEW DELHI: India has completely and unequivocally rejected in entirety all actions and statements by Pakistan to keep the Kashmir issue in news internationally, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

In a written reply, Minister of State for External Affairs, Gen Dr V K Singh said, ”Indian Government outrightly rejects actions of Pakistan Government such as briefing the envoys of several prominent countries and international organisations in the wake of death of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani in an encounter on July 8 and addressing letters to the UN Secretary General, to the President of the UN Security council, the Secretary-general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights urging the international community to address the alleged human rights violation during protests in Jammu and Kashmir since July 8.”

Protests and demonstrations have been organised by Pakistani diaspora/NGOs in several capitals, in many cases with active support from Pakistani Government, the minister informed. The Indian Government has asked Pakistan to stop meddling in its internal affairs and destabilise the situation in South Asia through support to terrorism and other subversive acts, he said.
