‘Indian administered J&K’ word in US order objectionable: NPP

JAMMU, June 28:   Expressing his shock and indignation over the use of the words “Indian administered Jammu Kashmir” in the recent order on terrorism issued by the US Govt on the occasion of Modi- Trump meet on Monday last, NPP chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh  has strongly condemned the highly submissive posturing of the Indian delegation to US led by PM Modi.
Flaying the delegation of acquiescing in the phrase “Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir” used by the US Govt in its order designating Hizbul Mujahiddin chief a global terrorist, he said that the Indian delegation owed an explanation to the people of the country for their failure to object to the use of highly obnoxious terminology with respect to J&K which is legally and constitutionally an integral part of India and not merely administered by India.
Citing a part of the text of the US Govt order, Singh said that it reads “under Salahuddins’s tenure as senior HM (Hizbul Mujahiddin) leader, HM has claimed responsibility for several attacks, including the April 2014 explosives attack in Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir, which injured 17 people”. Strongly condemning the delegation for its lame duck and compliant posturing and acquiescence in the highly objectionable terminology, NPP leader said that the BJP leadership stood fully exposed for its false bravado and fake nationalism.
Flaying the BJP for merely  having got Salahuddin designated as global terrorist, Singh said that in their over excitement, they had failed to notice the damage they had done to Indian position vis-a-vis Jammu and Kashmir. Strongly condemning the US description of J&K as “India administered”, Singh said that the phrase was a bad shot in the foot of Modi led delegation for which the nation will have to limp and pay the price.
Seeking the amendment in the said US order, Singh said that “J&K was, is and shall always remain an integral part of India”. He said that it was PoK, Gilgit-Baltistan and other occupied territories which were unlawfully occupied and administered by Pakistan and China and their vacation was the only subject of dispute with Pakistan.
