JAMMU, June 16: The Indian Cricket team for the Physically Challenged won the three international T-20 cricket match series being played between India and Nepal by 2-1 at the Mulpani International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu and it was the 5th consecutive T-20 series wins of the Indian team against Nepal.
The Indian Divyang cricket team ensured their series win by winning the first and second matches. Nepal won the last match.
Indian Cricket team captain Sayed Shah Aziz won the toss and decided to bat first wherein they scored 90 runs in 18.2 overs. Zameer Pathan made 19 runs, while Arun Giri scored 17 runs and Sayed Shah Aziz and Rambaran Yadav contributed 13 and 10 runs respectively. For Nepal, Suman Baral took four wickets, while Rahul Kori took two and Tabrez Alam got one wicket.
In reply, Nepal Divyang chased the target by losing nine wickets and registered 1wicket win over India Divyang. Dumber Bahadur (22), Kunj (20) and Chhabilal (10) were the main contributors for Nepal. From the bowling side, Sayed Shah Aziz and Arun Giri took 3 wickets each, while Amit Kumar and Nemichand took one wicket each.
The man of the match award went to Suman Baral, while the game changer award was clinched by Dumber Bahadur and the man of the series title secured by Indian captain Sayed Shah Aziz, besides best batsman went toSayed Shah Aziz, best bowler award was secured by Manivanan and best wicket keeper was clinched by Dumber Bahadur. Shahul Hameed was declared as best fielder, while Santosh Sandy was announced as most emerging player.
The umpires of the match were Yogesh Shinde and Ravinder Gupta.
