New DELHI, July 19: Represented by some players including silver medallist Saleem and Chief Coach from Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Junior Wushu medallists called on Union Sports Minister, Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at his office, today.
The medallists were accompanied by Bhupender Singh Bajwa, President of Wushu Association of India and Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Coach of India.
The Minister congratulated the medallists and the coaches for their excellent performance in the World Championship. He assured that he will provide all assistance for the promotion of Wushu sports in the country.
He congratulated the Wushu Association of India for this achievement and expected good results in the Asian Games 2018.
Mr Rathore also cleared the Senior Wushu team for the one month exposure training in China.
The medalists also called on Secretary Sports MYAS, Rahul Bhatnagar and DG SAI Neelam Kapoor.
Earlier, the Indian Wushu team was given rousing reception at New Delhi Airport by a big number of enthusiasts of the game.
Meanwhile, the office bearers of Wushu Association of Jammu and Kashmir congratulated Kuldeep Handoo for the excellent performance of the Indian team.
