Indian Kho Kho team to undergo training for WC

JAMMU, Nov 14: In preparation for the Kho Kho World Cup 2025, the Indian Kho Kho team will undergo a month-long pre-season fitness and fielding training camp, which will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from December 8. The camp, designed to enhance both physical and mental readiness, will focus on team building, fitness, agility, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure that players are in top condition for the upcoming challenges.
Sudhanshu Mittal, President of the International Kho Kho Federation, announced that 60 players from both the men’s and women’s teams, selected based on their performances at the National Kho Kho Championship, will participate in the camp. The selection of probable players was carried out by the national selection committee, comprising experts in the sport.
A key addition to the camp will be the inclusion of a sports psychologist to help players manage stress and mental strain, a request long made by the team. This will aid in improving cognitive focus and resilience.
At the end of the camp, 15 players from each team will be selected to represent India at the Kho Kho World Cup 2025, which will be held from January 13 to 19, 2025.
