Indian Powerlifting Federation’s directive to affiliate units in J&K

JAMMU, Dec 12: The Indian Powerlifting Federation has intimated J&K Sports Powerlifting Association that any Powerlifter who wishes to compete in any State, Zonal or National Level Powerlifting Championships must be authorized by J&K Association.
The Federation has said that any Powerlifter found participating under any other organization shall be banned from Indian Powerlifting Federation and necessary action would be taken against the guilty.
If any other organization is found organizing a competition without affliation with Indian Powerlifting Federation, will not be recognized by Indian Powerlifting Federation or its affiliate unit in J&K.
For that matter, J&K Sports Powerlifting Association has advised the powerlifters to submit their bio-data with the office of the Association for the issuance of identy-cards.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the J&K Sports  Powerlifting Association, which among others was attended by its office bearers including Ajay Sharma, vice president, Rajan Jain, general secretary, Shambhu Gupta, treasurer and  joint secretaries Narinder Singh  and Rajesh Dutta.
