Indians brace up for home Test series against Aussies

Bangalore, Feb 18:
The Indian cricket team today ended their three-day preparation camp here, ahead of the four-test home series against Australia beginning in Chennai on February 22.
The 15-member squad, which leaves for Chennai tomorrow, looked quuire prepared for the series as the frontline batsmen and bowlers sweated it out through the two-and-a-half hour session in the afternoon at the NCA grounds, adjacent to M Chinnaswamy stadium.
However, Team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni did not bat. He, however was present at the venue and had a chat with his teammates during lunch time.
The Indian team solely focused on batting and bowling today. The players looked relaxed after going through two rigorous sessions during the first two days.
They arrived at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) around 3 pm and straightaway batsmen and the bowlers rushed to the nets for the practice.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay, Virender Sehwag and Cheteshwar Pujara had decent hits at the nets. The onus was playing straight and not much aggressive strokes across the wicket was employed.
They faced a mix of fast and spin bowlers including Ashok Dinda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Pragyan Ojha and R Ashwin. Interestingly, Tendulkar played for 45 minutes with three different bats facing these bowlers at different nets.
Harbhajan too batted for nearly one hour and rolled his arms only at the fag end of the session.
Even the tailenders Ojha, Dinda and Ishant were made to bat at the nets, while new find Bhuvneshwar Kumar faced ‘throwdowns’ of net bowler.
