Indo-China talks had to collapse

Harsha Kakar The 13th round of Indo-China talks ended inconclusively. There was no joint statement issued, instead both sides released independent statements accusing the other. The Indian statement read, ‘The Indian side emphasised resolution of the remaining areas would facilitate progress in bilateral relations. The Indian side, therefore, made constructive suggestions but the Chinese side was not agreeable and also could not provide any forward-looking suggestions.’ The Indian statement also linked resolution of the border to bilateral ties.
