Making full use of the waters of three rivers, Indus, Jhelum and Chenab is not the only issue. It is a bye-issue. The real issue is that it is an unjust and inequitable treaty and has to be revoked. No matter even if the World Bank is the intermediary. The Shimla Agreement was endorsed by Pakistan Parliament and even recognized by the UN. Still Pakistan tore it into shreds and launched proxy war against India. Therefore the Indus Water Treaty has to be revoked and distribution of the water of three rivers has to be just. This is what Pakistan deserves and will be given the right deal.
Pakistan is to be isolated and made irrelevant. The masterstroke in pursuing this policy has been the appeal of the Prime Minister to the people of Pakistan to ask their leaders what they are exporting and what India is exporting. There is no doubt that Pakistani public has been pushed to the brink and a civil war in Pakistan is not a far off cry.
