Sir,
The National Cadet Corpus (NCC) aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further it aims at creating a pool of organised, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the nation regardless of which carreer they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. These NCC cadets are always available for the service of the nation. Cadets can also work towards a range of nationally recognised qualifications which will help them with their future education and career. On the contrary, in our state J&K, there is complete chaos and anarchy regarding the implementation of NCC category by various recruiting agencies which is guranteed by the organisation itself to students at school, college and university levels. The aspirants who are having B and C certificates are repeatedly ignored by the agencies which is a cause of worry among them. Such a callous attitude has left a question mark on the working of agencies. So its our humble request to look into this matter seriously, so that these cadets get justice whenever they apply for admission to higher studies or job which is their actual right.
People having C- Certificate in NCC are allowed to sit in the viva without Going through entrance in Commissioned officer exams which is A class Gazzeted post but here in J&K even there is not reservation in J&K police for the Cadets having B and C Certificates.
Yours etc….
