UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Inner Wheel Club here today dedicated a hand-wash station to the Government Higher Secondary School Zib Barola and distributed uniform and shoes to the needy children.
District Chairperson of District 307 from Amritsar, Rita Sharma inaugurated the hand-wash station during her official visit to Inner Wheel Club Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion District secretary, Priti Khajuria said that every year the elected District Chairperson visits every Club of the District with a new theme in which she inspects the activities done by the Club and gives information about how to carry out the social work in future.
Priti informed that every year 70 Clubs of District 307 do social works based on a new theme given by the Association President and District Chairperson and this year’s theme was ‘Shine a Light’.
“To brighten the life for the future generations there are many ways like zest for zero waste, girl child empowering a prosperous nation, literacy mission, adopt and build, commitment to senior citizens etc,” she maintained.
Inner Wheel Club president Neelu Gandotra said that till now they have done many projects in which they have distributed sweaters, notebooks, sports materials, etc.
Club members Manju Baru, Mohini Baigra, Neelam Buchha, Anu Sanson, Harjeet Kaur, Tripta Sharma and Pratibha Gupta were also present on the occasion.
