Institutions celebrate Diwali with religious gaiety

JAMMU, Nov 6: Various institutions celebrated Diwali Festival with religious gaiety here today.
G. D. Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, Jammu celebrated Diwali in Goenkan Acres. Students of Class 1st presented enacted the Epic Ramayana. They highlighted the scenes in which Rani Kakyee pressurized king Dashratha to send Rama to exile for a period of 14 years. Students beautifully enacted various scenes and killing of the Demon God’s, Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbkaran. The significance of Diwali was wonderfully depicted by the return of Lord Rama, Sita and Laxmana to Ayodhya. The students were informed about the importance of auspicious day when the family was reunited.
The Principal of the school, Dr. R. P. Singh appreciated effort of the students for their stage performance, dialogue delivery and confidence.
Fifty two special children and teachers of Asha School, Jammu Cantt celebrated Diwali at Topi Bungalow.
Bindiya Narain, Chairperson Family Welfare Organization, Tiger Division interacted with the children. A magic show by Magician Jaswinder was organized for the children. The children enjoyed the magic show with great enthusiasm. To facilitate greater participation, recreational games were also conducted during the function. Winners of various events were facilitated on the occasion.
Wonder World School also celebrated Diwali in its School premises with pomp and show today.
The students were advised to celebrate the Festival on its actual day with pomp and show, without bursting of crackers, rather by burning candles, distributing sweets sharing love.
