JAMMU, July 31: The 3-day long Inter Army Public Schools Cluster- I Football Tournament culminated with zeal and enthusiasm at APS BD Bari, here today. Eight Army Public Schools namely APS BD Bari, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Damana, APS Kaluchak, APS Ratnuchak, APS Samba, APS Miran Sahib and APS Sunjuwan participated in this Tournament.
Playing fair and showing true sportsmanship, all the school teams gave a tough competition to each other.
In the final Football match, Army Public School Damana defeated Army Public School Jammu Cantonment and lifted the winner’s trophy.
The motive for organising such sports events in the schools is to provide an extraordinary platform to the budding players to showcase their talent and hone their skill so that they can also make their career in sports. The ambience of the football field reflected the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The chief guest, Lt Col Arjun Rawat, SO School lauded the efforts of the players and felicitated the winners.
Neeta Rawal, Principal APS BD Bari also congratulated the winning team for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to keep participating in such events in future.
