JAMMU, Sept 2: Government Degree College of RS Pura and GDC Surankote today organised inter-college competitions on two different topics.
Department of Mathematics, Government Degree College RS Pura conducted online poster making on Mathematics on the various theme including Contribution of Srinivasa Ramanujan in the field of Mathematics, History of Mathematics and Applications of Mathematics in the field of Science and Technology wherein Gurvinder Singh of GDC RS Pura, Muskan Bali of GCW Gandhi Nagar and Tanu Kotwal of MAM College bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Meanwhile, the Department of Arabic of Government Degree College Surankote organized an online national level quiz competition on the theme, ‘History of classical Arabic Literature’.
Iqra Firdous, Ph.D Scholar BGSBU Rajouri, Rashita Baji of GDC Surankote, Khadeeja Zahra Qureshi of GDC Surankote and Samina Koser GDC Surankote shared 1st position, while Rabia Amin Research Scholar BGSBU Rajouri won 2nd position and Abdul Khaliq GDC Surankote and Jameel Ahmed student of MA IGNOU shared 3rd position.
The whole programme was coordinated and conducted by Dr Mussarat Jabeen Head of Department of Arabic under the overall supervision of College Principal Dr Jasbir Singh. The top three participants were honoured with certificates of appreciation.
