UDHAMPUR, June 4: Bhaskar Degree College organized inter-college symposium here today.
The event started with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest, Dr Udhay Bhanu, Principal Government Degree College, while Dr SK Magotra, Principal of host College gave a welcome speech and Professor Heema Dutt and Professor Sakshi Sharma organised the symposium.
Professor Bindu Salaria threw light on the importance of the topic, while Professor Sakshi Sharma introduced the rules of symposium for the participants.
A skit was also presented by Mohd Arman and his team during the event, wherein ill effects of deformation and global warming were visualised. The play concluded with the note that we should plant more and more trees which will reduce the emission of fossil fuels in order to save the environment.
Diksha Nirdesh of Bhartiya College of Education, Rikhil Goswami of Bhaskar Degree College (BDC Udhampur) and Pritam Kumar of GDC Ramnagar secured top three places respectively, while Akshita from BDC and Hardeep Singh of GDC Udhampur won consolation prizes.
Later, Professor Heema Dutt presented a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries who were part of the event.
