JAMMU, Nov 2: Inter-Collegiate Archery (Women) Championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu concluded at Varsity Sports Stadium, here today.
The Championship was won by the GCW Parade, defeating GCW Gandhi Nagar by 7 points.
Earlier, in Individual Event of 30 meter distance, Jayshree of GCW Parade clinched gold, Fatima of the GCW Parade bagged silver and Javed Akhter of GCW Udhampur claimed bronze.
In Team Event of 30 meter distance, gold medal was won by the GCW Parade team comprising of Jayshree, Kaniz Fatima and Shrifal Raina, while the silver medal went to the GCW Gandhi Nagar and the team comprised of Ritika, Ekta Charak, Skalzang Dolma and Mamta Thakur, while bronze medal was won by GCW Udhampur team which comprised of Kajal, Madhubala, Javed Akhter and Pooja Thakur.
Prof Avtar S. Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest of the valedictory function who awarded the winning trophy to the overall Championship winning team of GCW Parade (212 points) and GCW Gandhi Nagar (205 points).
