JAMMU, Oct 27: The Inter-Collegiate Archery (W) Championship 2023-24 organized at University Sports Stadium concluded here today which was won by GCW Parade by securing 142 points and runner up was GDC, Paloura by securing 33 points.
In the 30-meter distance (Girls) individual event Heena GCW Parade (Gold), Apsha GCW Parade (Silver) and Shallu GDC Katra won Bronze medal. In the 30-meter distance (Girls) team event GCW, Parade (Gold), GDC Paloura (Silver) and GDC Katra won Bronze medal.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. He awarded the trophy to the overall Championship winning team GCW Parade.
Meanwhile, the Inter-Collegiate Yoga Championship for women organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu here today. In team category, PG Department, University of Jammu bagged 1st position while 2nd & 3rd positions were clinched by GCW Parade Jammu and GDC Doda, respectively besides in individual category, the 1st position was won by Nitika Sharma, PG Department, University of Jammu, 2nd position was secured by Janvi Sharma PG Department, University of Jammu and 3rd position were secured by Jaanvi Sharma GCET and Anandya Handa, GMC Rajouri respectively. The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba DirectorDirectorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu.
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts including Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, Anil Gupta, Mukesh, Anil Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and Deepti.
