JAMMU, Oct 19: The University of Jammu hosted the Inter-Collegiate Cross Country Race 2024-25 today, featuring participation from various affiliated colleges in both men’s and women’s sections. The race was flagged off by Dr. Vimal Kishore, Assistant Professor at the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, alongside several dignitaries, including PD Singh, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, and others.
In the men’s section, Leela Parshad from GDC Doda clinched the gold medal, followed closely by Bikram Singh, also from GDC Doda, who took the silver. Azam Hussain from GDC Khilotran secured the bronze medal. In the women’s section, Parul Sharma from the P.G. Department won the gold, with Romika Manhas from GDC Khilotran earning the silver. Simran Sharma from GDC Udhampur finished strong, claiming the bronze medal.
The event was officiated by a dedicated team, including Gurcharan Singh, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, and others, ensuring a smooth and competitive atmosphere for all participants.
