JAMMU, Oct 16: The Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (Women) Championship 2023-24 was organized at Jammu University Campus in which 20 Athletes from 10 colleges took part.
Pooja Devi of GDC Ramnagar clinched Gold Medal by completing the race in 49.48.62mins. whereas Shilppi Thakur of GDC Ramnagar and Sakhshi GDC Jindrah stood 2nd and 3rd by completing the race in 50.57.18 mins and 52.59.85 mins respectively.
Dr Vikram Sahi, Librarian, Dhanvantri Library, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion and flagged off the race.
Others present on the occasion were Dr. Mandeep Singh Asstt. Prof., Vimal Kishore Asstt.Prof, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, Jai Bharat, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Dr.Mahak, Inderjeet Singh, Richa Mandla, Rishiv Sharma, S. Tanpreet Singh Baga GDC Pouni, Dr. Vikesh Sharma GDC Jindrah, Suman Sharma GCW Parade, Vikram Jamwal GDC Hiranagar and PTI’s of various colleges were present.
The following officials conducted the said event Sdr. Gurcharan Singh, (Athletics Coach), Nirmal Singh (Athletics Coach), Sdr Harsimran Singh (Athletics coach) and students of M.P. Ed and B.P. Ed.
The Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (M) Championship was conducted under Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu.
