JAMMU, Dec 6: The Inter-collegiate Men Hockey tournament, organized by JU’s Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, commenced at University of Jammu Hockey field, here today.
In the opening match, GDC Kathua defeated PG Arts by 2 goals to 1, wherein Abhishek Sharma (24th minute) and Karanjeet Singh (31st minute) scored goals for the GDC Kathua team, while Robin Singh (45th Minute) netted the only goal for the PG Arts team.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports was the chief guest of the opening match, who introduced both the team players before the start of the game.
Dr Mandeep Singh, Dr Vimal Kishore, Jai Bharat, Vikram Jamwal, Gagan Kumar, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Mukesh Sharma, Narinder Bharat and Tarvinderpal Singh were present during the event.
The matches were officiated by Jagjit Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Harmik Singh & PD Singh.
