JAMMU, Oct 22: The Inter-Collegiate Pencak Silat (Men) Championship 2024-25, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, concluded here today.
Kamaljeet Bhogal from GDC Kunjwani clinched the gold medal in the Below 45 kg category. Ankit Saini from the PG Department won gold in the 45-50 kg division, while Aryan Jamwal from Dogra Degree College secured the gold in the 50-55 kg class.
Mohd. Irfan from Trikuta Degree College triumphed in the 55-60 kg category, with Ajay Kumar from GDC Khilotran winning the 60-65 kg division. In the 65-70 kg weight class, Aditiya from the PG Department emerged victorious and Lakshya Yadav from Trikuta Degree College excelled in the 70-75 kg category. Other gold medalists included Rshad Padha from MIET College in the 75-80 kg class and Jagmohan Singh from the PG Department in the 80-85 kg category. Abhishek Sharma from the PG Department secured the gold in the 85-90 kg division, with Pushapkant winning in the 90-95 kg category, and Amjid dominating the 95-110 kg weight class.
The event was supported by key dignitaries, including Jai Bharat, Vimal Kishore, Arjun Kotwal, Mukesh Kumar, Rishiv Sharma, Gagan Kumar, and Inderjeet Singh, who were present at the medal ceremony, appreciating the athletes’ efforts.
