Inter-collegiate slogan writing, photography competitions organised

JAMMU, July 30: Government Degree College Nowshera and Government Degree College Bani today organised online inter-collegiate competitions on slogan writing and photography.
NSS unit of GDC Nowshera organized inter-collegiate slogan writing competition on “How to protect, conserve and sustainable manage our natural resources” in which various students of different colleges participated.
Paramjeet Kour of GDC Nowshera and Shafat Yousaf of Govt College for Women MA Road Srinagar stood first, while Rajni Sharma of GDC Nowshera and Tania Choudhary of NNP Higher Secondary School Nowshera shared 2nd position and 3rd position was shared by Harpreet Kour of GDC Nowshera and Diksha Thakur of GDC Majalta.
The event was judged by Dr Snobar, Assistant Professor of GCW Parade and Prof Inam-Ul-Haq of GDC Nowshera, whereas the event was organized by Prof Gurjeet Singh, Programme Officer NSS under the supervision of Dr Surinder Kumar, College Principal.
Meanwhile, GDC Bani organised an inter-college online competition on photography to aware the students about the beauty of nature in which 71 students of different colleges across the UT participated.
The competition was held under the guidance of College Principal, Dr MS Pathania and supervision of Prof Rajeev Singh, Assistant Professor EVS and Dr Ram Krishan, Assistant Professor Mathematics.
The photography was judged by Rohit Rattan, Associate Coordinator, Western Himalayas WWF-India; Professor Suresh Kumar of MAM College Jammu and Professor Arvind Kumar of GDC Mahanpur.
Aprajita Sambyal of GDC Samba bagged first position, Musharaf Parvez of GDC Bani clinched second position, Irfan Ahmed Ganaie of GDC Tangmarg (Kashmir) secured 3rd position whereas 4th and 5th positions were bagged by Jogita Attri of GDC Samba and Harish of GDC(Boys) Kathua respectively. E-certificates were awarded to top 10 winners.
