JAMMU, Dec 15: Final of the Inter-collegiate Table Tennis (Men) was played at Table Tennis Hall, University of Jammu in which PG Department defeated GDC Poonch by 3-0, here today.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education distributed the prize money among the winners and congratulated the 2nd & 3rd runner-ups.
PD Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Mukesh Sharma and Balbir Singh were also present during the event.
In the final, PG Department defeated GDC Poonch by 3-0, while in men’s singles, Ritivik Gupta beat Nishant Bhalla by 3-0, Asad defeated Zafar Ahmed by 3-0 and Manandeep Singh got the better of Vanshika Kapoor by 3-0.
For 3rd place match, GDC Udhampur defeated GCET by 3-2, while the matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid and Meenu Ragesh. The Tournament was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
In Kho-Kho (women), GDC Kathua beat GDC Hiranagar by 2 points, while GDC Chenani defeated GDC Udhampur by 7 points, GCW Udhampur trounced GDC Ramnagar by 3 points and PG Department defeated GDC Akhnoor by 2 points.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Sharma, Aminderpal Singh, Palbinder Singh, Jagdev Singh, Anil Kumar, Pooja Sharma and Gagan Kumar.
