JAMMU, Feb 13: The Inter-collegiate Volleyball (Men) and Kabaddi tournaments, organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, commenced at Volleyball Court and Gymnasium Hall of the Jammu University, here today.
Various colleges affiliated with the University of Jammu are participating in the said tournaments.
In Volleyball (Men) section, GDC Reasi beat Trikuta College of Physical Education by 2-0 sets (25-7 & 25-8.), while GDC Samba defeated GDC Neeli Nallah by 2-0 sets (25-19 & 25-14), GDC Marh trounced YCET Jammu by 2-0 (25-11 & 25-11), GDC Rajouri beat GDC Billawar by 2-0 sets (25-22 & 25-14) and GDC Kathua defeated GDC Purmandal by 2-0 (25-17 & 25-17)
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Mulkraj Sharma, Anil Sharma, Parvinder, Shubam Sharma and Vikas Karlopia.
In Kabaddi, GDC Kathua defeated GDC Pouni by 15 points (35-20). The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Harpreet Singh and Gagan Kumar.
