JAMMU, Jan 16: The 5-days Inter-Collegiate Women Kho-Kho Tournament got underway at Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College was the chief guest, who inaugurated the tournament by lighting the ceremonial torch.
Around 22 Colleges of Jammu province will participate in the event which will last for five days.
A friendly match was also held on the occasion to instill sportsmanship and cooperation amongst the students.
Amid huge appreciation, the women players displayed competitive spirit with great gusto on the opening day.
The programme was coordinated by Physical Director of the College, Sumnesh Sharma.
