JAMMU, Dec 13: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, kicked off the Inter-Collegiate Yoga (Women) Championship 2024-25, here today. Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, was the chief guest at the event, which saw participation from various affiliated colleges of the University of Jammu.
In the team category, the PG Department of the University of Jammu clinched the 1st position, while the 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by GCW Parade and GCW Udhampur, respectively. In the individual category, Nitika Sharma from the PG Department, University of Jammu, emerged victorious, winning the 1st position. Jahanvi, also from the PG Department, University of Jammu, secured the 2nd position, and the 3rd positions were awarded to Anjali Devi and Diksha from GDC Paloura and PG Department, University of Jammu, respectively.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba presented the trophies and medals to the winners and expressed gratitude to all the participants, officials, and spectators who contributed to the event’s success. The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts, including Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, Mukesh, Sandeep Sharma, Ankit Bali, Deepti Sharma and Gorav Raina.
