SRINAGAR, Sept 13: State Level Inter-District Athletic Meet for Under-14,Under-17 and Under-19 girls began at Bakshi Stadium, here today.
The Meet is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Jehangir Mir.
The Meet was in inaugurated by Youth Services and Sports Officer, Srinagar in an impressive and well attended function.
The Meet was declared open by resealing colourful balloons.
The District Officer, while welcoming the participants and officials, advised his team for providing better boarding, lodging and allied facilities to the outstation players.
Today besides heats in 100 meters and 200 meters, the athletes were shortlisted for the final competition in long jump in all age groups.
