Inter District Division Level Cricket tourney for girls commences

JAMMU, Sept 14: The Inter District Division Level Cricket Tournament for U-17 girls kicked off today at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, Jammu, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
Over 140 players from nine districts of Jammu Division participated in the tournament. The primary aim of the tournament is to identify the best talent for future competitions.
The event is being held under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sunil Kumar Sharma, and In-charge DYSSO Jammu, Harvinder Kour. The tournament is conducted by a team of departmental experts, including Pankaj Sasun, Sandeepan Sharma, Sat Paul Singh, Vikram Dogra, and several other technical officials.
In the first match, District Doda emerged victorious over District Ramban by 92 runs, with standout performances from Shweta Raina, who scored 35 runs, and Mahika Singh, who contributed 27 runs. Reyanshu took 3 wickets for District Doda. District Ramban managed 114 runs, with Nasir scoring 4 runs.
In the second match, District Poonch defeated District Samba by 59 runs. Gurkrit scored 34 runs, and Aasma added 26 runs for Poonch. Gagandeep took 1 wicket, while Saira claimed 2 wickets for Poonch, securing a solid win for the team.
