Inter-District girls kabaddi, kho-kho tourney gets underway

JAMMU, Sept 24: As part of annual calendar of activities, the Divisional Level Inter-District Under-19 girls Tournament in the disciplines of kabaddi and kho-kho got underway at Youth Hostel Nagrota, here today.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports.
About 200 players drawn from 9 districts of the division, except Ramban are taking part in the tournament.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Swarn Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi, Pushpa Sharma, Manorma Sharma, Sarita Pandha and Jeet Singh.
The matches were officiated by Rajesh Sambyal, Ravi Kumar, Narayan Singh, Balwan Singh, Ravinder Singh Bali, Suraj Dev Singh, Tilak Raj, Ram Murti, Rampaul, Bua Ditta and Tilak Raj

Kabaddi Under-19 girls:
Kishtwar drubbed Reasi by (26-7), Samba trounced Poonch by (25-21), Doda got better of Rajouri by (24-01) and Jammu thrashed Udhampur by (27-05)
Kho-Kho Under-19 girls:
Reasi prevailed over Kishtwar by (5-2), Kathua scripted a narrow win over Poonch by (4-3), Doda beat Rajouri by (6-2), Samba beat Udhampur by 1 turn and 1 point, Reasi drubbed Jammu by (3-1).
