KATHUA, Oct 29: Three day “Inter-District State Level Marshal Arts Games” Competition today concluded with great pomp and show at Government Degree College Kathua. ADDC Kathua Narinder Singh Bali was the chief guest on the culmination day of the event.
ADDC highlighted the essence of sports in every youth. He appealed the youth to refrain from drugs and other menace and contribute towards the State by achieving feats in different sports. He said sports helps in maintaining good physical and mental health besides a big source of entertainment and enticing the spirit of competence and sportsmanship.
In the tournament twelve districts from across the State participated in the mega sports event wherein six activities like Judo, Washu, Sqay, Taekwando, Thangta and Kick Boxing conducted.
Mir Nazeer and Sports Incharge Jammu Division Pankaj expressed their views and appreciated the Kathua Sports and Youth Service Department as well as entire administration for making marvelous arrangements for the event.
From Kashmir Division teams of Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama, Ganderbal, Kargil and Shopian participated whereas from Jammu division teams from Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, and Doda participated in this State level inter-district sports event.
Later winners and participants in the events were awarded with awards and certificates from the chief guest.
