Inter-District U/17 Boys Football Tourney inaugurated

UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: Two days UT level Inter-District Football Under-17 Boys Tournament was inaugurated at District Police Lines Ground, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by DYSSO Udhampur, Swaran Singh. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest stressed upon the players to play the game in fair way and wished them for their best performance in the said tournament.
Five matches were played where in District Budgam defeated District Shopian by 15-0 goals, whereas Kulgam trounced Kishtwar by 2-1 goals and Ganderbal got better of Kupwara by 3-0 goals besides Bandipora defeated Srinagar by 4-1 goals and Doda beat Rajouri by 3-0 goals.
The tournament is being organized under the patronageship of DG YSS, Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman and under the chairmanship of Dr Piyush Singla, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and overall supervision of DYSSO Udhampur, Swaran Singh.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar Dogra, Raman Kumar, Rakesh, Kulbhushan Singh, Naveen Singh, Harvinder Singh, Miraz Din, Ishang Bandral, Vipin Photra, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Chander Kiran and Gopal Krishan.
Among others who present during the occasion were Laxmi Kant, Arvind Kumar (I/C PEL), Ashwani Kotwal PEL, Ramesh Chander, Anita Goswami and many others.
