Inter-District UT level Swimming competition concludes

JAMMU, Sept 27: The Inter District UT Level Swimming Competition for Under-AAG (All Age Groups) Boys and Girls concluded at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu. Organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Jammu, the event showcased the remarkable talents of young swimmers from various private and Government schools across Jammu and Kashmir.
More than 100 participants took part in the competition, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their swimming skills and compete for top honours. The participants, drawn from various districts, demonstrated exceptional performance in a range of events across different age categories.
In the U-14 Boys 50m Freestyle, Musa Parveiz from Jammu secured first place, while Nirbaye Singh from Kathua finished second, and Adul Ali from Srinagar came third. The U-14 Boys 50m Backstroke event was won by Riaan Mahajan from Jammu, with Aatik Zaga from Srinagar and Naail Zia from Budgam securing the second and third positions, respectively.
In the U-17 Boys 200m Freestyle, Vihsan Gol from Jammu claimed first place, followed by Mohd Ibrahim from Jammu and Hamza Isheaq from Budgam. The U-19 Boys 50m Freestyle saw Jainailhan Singh from Jammu finishing first, with Abdul Aleem from Srinagar and M.M. Sajid Ultaf from Budgam coming in second and third, respectively.
In the girls’ categories, Mitali Raj from Jammu won the U-14 Girls 50m Breaststroke, followed by Anehita from Jammu and Skeena from Budgam. In the U-17 Girls 100m Freestyle, Tegmeet Kour from Jammu finished first, with Hadiya Manib from Budgam taking second place, and Aditee from Jammu finishing third. Saniya from Jammu dominated the U-19 Girls 50m Butterfly, while Zobiya from Srinagar secured second place.
The U-14 Girls 50m Freestyle event saw Manha from Jammu taking first place, followed by Chitrongana from Jammu and Baha Wani from Budgam. In the U-17 Girls 50m Breaststroke, Vanshika from Jammu claimed the top spot, with Diya from Jammu and Muntahe from Srinagar finishing second and third, respectively. In the U-19 Girls 50m Freestyle, Saniya from Jammu emerged victorious, while Adalia from Jammu and Zobiya from Srinagar followed in second and third place.
