JAMMU, Feb 28: Inter District UT level Yoga Competition for all age group category of boys organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports District Reasi concluded at SMVDU Sports complex Katra.
Mementoes and medals were awarded by chief guest Nirmala Devi District Development Councilor Constituency Katra and guest of honour Rajesh Sharma Nodal Officer SMVDU Sports Complex to players who secured first, second and third positions during the competition.
While addressing, Nirmala Devi stressed upon the importance of sports and education. Both sports and education play an important role in development of human personality, Nirmala Devi added.
In the end, Subash Chander Sharma presented vote of thanks.
In U-14 boys, Irshad from District Baramulla got Gold medal, Shurya from Jammu got Silver medal, Faisel from Baramulla got Bronze medal whereas 4th and 5th places were secured by Surinder and Nikhil from Jammu. Mohiz (Baramulla) got trophy in Artistic event and Rahul got trophy in Rhythmic event.
In U-17 boys, Sunil (Udhampur) got Gold medal, Meraz (Baramulla) got silver medal and Sayad got Bronze medal, whereas 4th and 5th positions were secured by Raghav (Jammu) and Sayad Nadeem (Baramulla). Muzamil (Baramulla) got trophy in Rhythmic and Munish (Udhampur) got trophy in Artistic.
In U-19 boys, Owais (Baramulla) got Gold medal, Husaib (Baramulla) got Silver medal and Dushant from Jammu got Bronze medal, whereas Fazan (Baramulla) and Neeraj (Udhampur) secured 4th and 5th places respectively. Irfan (Baramulla) got trophy in Artistic and Sohail (Baramulla) got trophy in Rhythmic.
The matches were officiated by Anubhav Dev, Rajesh Bandral, Dheeraj Singh Jamwal, Aman Singh Sabmyal and Ashoka Kumari.
Among others were present Ashok Kumar, Saroj Bala, Romesh Chander, Jawant Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Jasbir Kour, Vikas Verma, Balbir Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Harpreet Kour, Rakesh Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Sapna Devi, Madhu Rani, Jagdish Raj, Rahul Jandial, Priya Sharma, Tahir Bilal, Usha Devi, Surbhi Anthal, Rajan Kumar, Vishal Dubey, Danish Singh, Mohammad Arif, Raqib and all REKs.
